Academic Advisement

The purpose of academic advisement is to determine whether the student is college-ready by meeting Texas Success Initiative requirements, including degree planning and course selection.

Working Together

Advisors and students collaborate to help students achieve academic and personal success.

Advisement is available on a walk-in basis. Sorry, no advisement by phone.

New-to-College

All new-to-college students are:

Required to attend New Student Group Advisement (NSGA).
Encouraged to attend New Student Orientation (NSO).

Transfers and Returning

Transfer and returning students are encouraged to speak with an advisor.

Mission Statement

The mission of Tarrant County College’s Advising and Counseling Centers is to provide professional advising and counseling service to support our diverse student population in achieving their educational, career and life goals.
