Weekend College is designed to allow students to complete a college degree or the transferable core curriculum while attending classes only on weekends.
A new student with no previous college credit can ordinarily complete an associate degree or the transferable core curriculum within eight fall or spring semesters. Students who take a combination of distance learning and weekend courses will be able to finish in less time.
While many of the core curriculum courses will be offered each semester, some of the major courses may be offered on an alternating semester basis. Students may need to attend more than one campus to complete their degree or core course requirements. Courses with required lab hours may need to be completed outside of the Weekend College time frame. Students may also enroll in required developmental courses needed to satisfy the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requirements by attending Weekend College.
Students may view the current class schedule to see course availability, meeting times and locations. Consult the course catalog for course descriptions, prerequisites and general requirements.
Hours of operation for student support, student services and labs vary by campus.
